Earlier this month the new Amway Center opened in Downtown Orlando. Now the city has to decide what to do with the old venue, sitting in a sea of parking lots that take up a chunk of Downtown/Parramore. A lot of plans have discussed about the property (including a megachurch -- which thankfully didn't get approved). The project that seems to be somewhat official is the Creative Village. The city and developers are planning to cash in on the region's digital media revenues to create an even larger draw. The "village" would include living, working, commercial, educational, and hotel facilities.
