2011 Orlando Improv Festival & 2011 Orlando Comedy Festival

The second annual Orlando Improv Festival opens tonight and runs through Tuesday, September 27th.  Shows take place at the Winter Park Play House (711 Orange Ave, Winter Park) and at the City Arts Factory (29 S Orange Ave, Orlando).  Tickets to see the 16 local and national improv troupes can  be bought here with single shows costing $10 or $15 and all-day tickets $40 to $55.  Performances are scheduled tonight from 5:00pm to 10:00pm, Monday from 6:00pm to midnight, and Tuesday from 6:00pm to midnight.


Also happening this week is the first annual Orlando Comedy Festival put on by Sleuth's Mystery Dinner Shows.  Between Thursday, September 29th and Sunday, October 2nd, heck out over 30 shows with tickets ranging from $5 to $10.  In addition to improv, this festival includes sketch comedy, standup, and magic.
