26th Annual NKF Surf Festival at Cocoa Beach

The 26th Annual National Kidney Foundation Pro-Am Surf Festival kicks off its competitions tomorrow in Cocoa Beach, "Surf Capital of the East Coast."  Competitions begin at 8:00am Saturday, September 3rd; Sunday, September 4th; and Monday, September 5th.  Also on the agenda are live music, bikini contests, and martial arts demonstrations.  All of this is happening on or around the Cocoa Beach Pier (401 Meade Ave).

On Sunday night, from 6:00pm to 11:00pm, be sure to check out Taste of Brevard at the Double Tree Oceanfront (2080 N Atlantic Ave).  A recommended $20 donation (going to the National Kidney Foundation) gives you access to samples of dishes from various local restaurants, music, the silent auction, and maybe even a surfing celebrity.

  1. I LOVED going to that event when I lived in Cocoa Beach! It is so much fun and entertaining. The people are very friendly. Plus Cocoa Beach floods with people from out of town so you get to meet new people. Don't miss out on the kiddie competitions. They will blow your mind!! Great post Alex!
