With chilly nights and chances of rain this weekend, cozy up with some of these events going on this weekend in and around Orlando. Some of my favorite indoor activities include:
Go see a movie...
What better way to spend a chilly weekend than in a movie theater? Come to Fashion Square Mall's Premiere Cinema 14 to see movies that are part of the 9th Annual Orlando Latin American Film & Heritage Festival 2013. Movies include:
Go brave the outdoors...
If the weather permits, drive out to Christmas (1300 N Fortt Christmas Rd) and check out the 13th Annual Orlando Wetlands Festival this Saturday from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Explore the wetlands, go birding, watch animal demonstrations, participate in kid's activities, and win prizes. See what else there is to do in Christmas, Florida.
Go learn something...
A great way to spend your free time is to take on a new hobby, for example: Learn Guitar with Roger Docking is a workshop at Urban ReThink this Saturday from 10:00am to 1:00pm. Click here for details.

Winter days are also a great time to explore local museums. Orlando has a wealth of museums, each with always-changing exhibits. For example, Rollins College's Cornell Fine Arts Museum has four exhibits and FREE admission for the rest of the years. Visit the Orlando Museum of Art for exciting collections of modern glass and Aztec ceramics, and don't forget about the History Center for both kids and adults.
Go to an indoor sporting event...
Have you ever been to a hockey game? The Orlando Solar Bears are back, and this weekend they're playing the South Carolina Stingrays at the Amway Center. Tickets start at $15.
