Orlando Weekend Preview: February 1st - 3rd, 2013

Gallery Grand Opening
Friday from 5:00pm to 9:00pm is the grand opening of the Faith Arts Village Orlando (FAVO) Gallery Grand Opening.  Come to 221 E Colonial Dr to explore 17 galleries in a hotel-turned-art-school and grab dinner at one of the food trucks.

Art Stroll & Festival in Baldwin Park
Want more art?  Then come to downtown Baldwin Park tonight at 5:30pm to see works by local artists, go shopping, and visit the food trucks and restaurants.

Black History Month at the Mennello Museum
Tonight from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, kick off Black History Month with the opening reception for the exhibit African American Art: Harlem Renaissance, Civil Rights Era and Beyond.  See over 100 works of art on loan from the Smithsonian American Art Museum all month long at the Mennello Museum of American Art.

StarLite Film Festival
This Friday and Saturday are the last days to catch movies from the Garden Theatre's (160 W Plant St, Winter Garden) StarLite Film Festival. Indivdual ticket prices are $5 - $7 and these micro-budget feature films are shown 8:15pm Friday and all day Saturday.

ZORA! Festival 2013
This weekend marks the end of this year's ZORA! Festival in Eatonville.  The outdoor festival is free, but donations are accepted.  For everything you need to know about this festival, check out the Official Guide.

Dark Sky Festival
This Saturday, come out and enjoy our beautiful winter weather at the 10th annual Harmony Dark Sky Festival.  Starting at 5:00pm, come talk about science and wildlife, explore astronomy (over 50 public telescopes!), and enjoy the food and entertainment.  Click here for the full schedule.
