St. Patrick's Day is this Sunday, March 17th, so get your green food dye and borderline-offensive Irish accent ready for a week of events in honor of the Irish patron saint.
Thornton Park District's 2nd Thursday Wine + Art Crawl goes green this week for a special edition St. Patrick's day art walk. The $10 wristband and wine glass (pick-up is at HUE Restaurant, 629 E Central Blvd) gets you drinks at over a dozen different bars and galleries. *Caution- you get a complimentary pour of wine at each joint... We suggest you write your liver an apology letter in advance.
To continue your warm-up for the actual day, Orlando Pub Crawl is hosting The St. Practice Day Pub Crawl on Friday, March 15th. Meet at Lizzy McCormack's (55 N Orange Ave) at 8:00pm and be sure to get your tickets before Thursday for $12 vs. $15 at the door. Admission includes one free drink and specials all night.
BarCrawls.com takes the eager drinker on three different pub tours around Downtown this weekend. Green Kegs and Hammered tickets are $5 on Friday, $10 on Saturday, and $10 on Sunday -- or save and get a three-day pass for $15.
Sunday is the 5th Annual St. Patrick's Day Sunday Funday Scoot. Tickets are $10 online, $15 at the door and include four free drinks -- the best deal after Thursday's Art Crawl. It ends at Lizzy McCormack's Block Party.
Lastly, stop by Ember Bar & Restaurant (42 W Central Blvd) this Sunday at 4:00pm to join in The Clover Crawl, Orlando's first LGBT and straight-friendly St. Patrick's day pub tour. The event benefits AIDS Walk Orlando and ends at Parliament House. Donations accepted.
A downtown Irish favorite, The Harp & Celt, will celebrate this weekend with The Great St. Patrick's Day Party Trilogy. Come Friday for beer, fish and chips, and "Irish fun" (curious to see what that's about). Saturday, the outdoor beer garden will be open with live music. Sunday, come for the all-day party with traditional cuisine, beers, whiskeys, music, and more.
Downtown Disney's Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant (1640 Buena Vista Dr) will host the four-day St. Patrick's Week Mighty Festival. Events include everything from live music and dance performances to drinks and authentic cuisine. Weekdays are free; Saturday's cover is $5 and Sunday's cover is $10 for people over 12. Arrive early or make a reservation!
Downtown Orlando's Wall Street Plaza hosts St. Patrick's Day Block Party this Saturday (5:00pm) and Sunday (noon) with live music and plenty of drink specials. This one's sure to bring out the college-aged crowd (in other words, steer clear if this scene is likely to bring out the Fighting Irish in you). But, we say, it's never too late to act like you're 21 again!
Check out College Park this Saturday and Sunday for Ollie's 1st Annual Shamrockin' Party (3400 Edgewater Dr). Come for the Irish food and drink specials and stay for the dancing and bag pipe performances.
