Weekend Events
BarCamp Orlando is back! This Saturday from 9:30am to 6:00pm at Downtown's Wall Street Plaza, speakers and listeners can participate in this innovative, community-building conference (see video for further explanation). Click here to fill out the FREE registration that includes lunch and a t-shirt.
Here's a new addition to our calendar- N3RD NIGHT at Bikkuri Sushi. Have you seen their dance lounge?! This is not to be missed!
As always, Audubon Park has its own thing going on, this time with the British Isles Adventure Race 2013. Test your knowledge of British trivia and show off your (scavenger) hunting prowess while dressed in a UK-themed kit (bonus points!). For your chance to win lots of prizes, register now ($15) and show up Saturday at 2:00pm.

Finally, celebrate the Asian Pacific American Heritage Month on at Avalon Park Downtown (3680 Avalon Park E Blvd). BYOC (bring your own chair) and enjoy the cultural entertainment, arts & crafts, and Asian Ethnic food. Cultural Entertainment includes performers from China, India, Japan, Korea, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, and others. And please- PLEASE- don't miss the Asian Idol at 5pm– we've heard that it's pretty intense. FREE, 3:00 - 9:00pm.
All weekend long, come to the Orlando Public Library (101 E Central Blvd) for its 2013 Spring Used Book Sale. Stop by Friday and Saturday from 10:00am to 5:00pm or Sunday from 1:30pm to 4:30pm for an opportunity to rummage through a huge selection of used books, DVDs, and other materials for half-off the already great prices.
This weekend concludes the 2013 American Craft Beer Week. Be sure to read Part 1 and Part 2 of special beer-events going on in and around Orlando this weekend.
This weekend and through next week is the 2013 Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival, now in its 22nd year. The goal? To provide 14 days of uncensored and unjuried theater, music, dance, and art. Some shows are free, but most are around $10. Alternatively, check out the bands and food stands in Loch Haven Park. Both OrlandoWeekly and TheDailyCity have created guides to help you navigate the country's longest-running Fringe Festival.
Also happening this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday is the 2013 Mount Dora Blues and Wine Festival. Tickets start at $10 to $16, depending on the day.

This FREE show starts at 8:00pm and you can click here for samples. (I mean, they're tagged as "brevard power pop punk florida," which has to be good, right?)
