This weekend's theme is BYO__.
Friday, January 3rd
The Geek Easy is at it again with their Friday installment of Nerdy Karaoke (is there such thing as non-nerdy karaoke?) where social awkwardness and public singing collide in an orgy of acceptance. BYOC (bring your own costumes). Free, 9:00pm to midnight.
Because we just heard of The Space (above Anthony's Pizza in Mills50) and are intrigued/obsessed: Body // Talk is a monthly DIY dance-party that features indie bands alongside DJs that like to get weird. Once a month, they convert local art-house, The Space, into a mystical venue with quality sound, trippy lights, and lots of surprises. Before 11:00pm: FREE if you dress surreal [??], $2 in basic clothes. After 11:00pm: $2 if you dress surreal, $4 in basic clothes. Oh yeah, and BYOB.
Hop on your bike and head over to Commute Orlando's First Friday Ride of the new year! 6:00pm in the parking lot of the Mennello Museum in Loch Haven Park. BYOH (bring your own helmet!). For real though...you'll want to make sure to wear your helmet with this group.
Saturday, January 4th
Resolve to relax at East End Market's new Saturday Serenades (3:00pm-6:00pm every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month). The tradition begins this weekend with Café Grass.
Saunter over to the Enzian Theater for I Am Divine. A movie chronicling the transformation of overweight boy Harris Glen Milstead into cult queen Divine. 9:30pm, $10, $8 for students and seniors.

Lakeridge Winery's Winter Music Series- "Old Skool" music outdoors. Attendees are encouraged to BYOB (bring your own blankets). Complimentary winery tours and tasting.
Orlando Shuffle is from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the Beardall Senior Center (800 South Delaney Ave). BYORA (bring your own retro attire).
Sunday, January 5th
Check out the second installment of the College Park Makers Market. There will be brunch from a Fork In the Road Food Truck, Traveling Gourmet Food Truck, The Smiling Bison Cart, Skyebird Juice, Lineage Coffee, and Mimosas from Infusion. But, most importantly, there will be a ton of local makers showcasing/selling their creations! 11:00am-3:00pm at Infusion Tea in College Park.
Aca-scuse me? Check out The Perfect Gentlemen at the Timucua White House this Sunday. "A unique mix of barbershop, instruments, comedy and theater." Need we say more? Doors open at 7:00pm for a 7:30pm start. Tix: $20, $15 for seniors, $12 for students. BYOB, and food to share.
