Hooray for the weekend! It's time to unwind with some awesome productions and activities at this year's Orlando Fringe, as well as all the other cool things happening around Central Florida this weekend.

It's time for the 23rd Annual Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival! Fun fact: it's the oldest and largest fringe festival in the US. For ticketed performances, get your button for $9; shows are an additional $0-$11 each. Outdoor performances and other activities are FREE! "Anyone can frindge," so what are you waiting for? It's the annual American Craft Beer Week, and that means plenty of local events around Florida. In Orlando, don't miss out on book signings, art shows, beer takeovers, meetings, and more.
Friday, May 16th
Friday is the last day that you can take advantage of a the SunRail Free Rides. Have you tried out SunRail? Take it as late as 10:00pm (check the schedule!) and grab dinner and a drink at popular stations like Winter Park and Church Street.
The Mount Dora Blues 'n' Groove Weekend is happening Friday through Sunday, but only on Friday can you get a ticket for just $20.
Saturday, May 17th
This Saturday, downtown's Harp and Celt Irish Pub invite you to Bugs And Suds Crawfish Party. Starting at 5:00pm, they'll be cooking up the best of Louisiana cuisine alongside plenty of live music and drinks.
If your idea of fun includes sloshing around Florida swamps alongside local biologists or volunteering to better the environment, then becoming a Seminole Education and Restoration Volunteer may be for you! Check them out for a one-day volunteering opportunity at the Lake Howell Restoration Event this Saturday from 9:00am to noon.
As part of The Fringe Festival (see above), local publisher Burrow Press is putting on a special iteration of its Functionally Literate free reading series. Poet Erica Dawson and writer-poet J. Bradley take the Outdoor Stage at Loch Haven Park this Saturday at 7:00pm.
From noon to 11:00pm, Orlando Speedworld plays host to Hot Import Nights, with vendors, exhibits, bikini fashion shows (obviously), DJs, and plenty of racing. Tickets are $20 or $15 each as a group of four.
Sunday, May 18th
In case you're hungry for more literary goings-on in Orlando, head over to the East End Market this Sunday from noon to 4:00pm for the Locally Grown Words Summer Book Fair. This free event will feature up to 40 local authors and publishers waiting to meet you and sign your books.
Southern Fried Sunday gets a little groovy this weekend when it returns as Soul Fried Sunday. $8 gets you a great soulfood dinner and four live acts, including Kaleigh Baker, The Gerry Williams Band, Brown Bag Brass Band, and The Groove Orient. Doors at 5:30pm.

Honor the memory of fallen riders this Sunday at the Bikers Walk for Awareness. From 10:00am to 1:00pm, Altamonte's Cranes Roost Park will host a one-mile walk with food and entertainment. $10 adults / $5 kids; all proceeds go to Someone Important Rides, Inc.
Grab lunch or dinner this Sunday at Dandelion Communitea Cafe for your chance to snag some supremo local art at a great price at their Red Tag Sale.
