Weekend Preview: May 30th - June 1st, 2014

Friday, May 30th

Feeling creative? Or do you just want to gawk at models? Either way, check out One Chic FĂȘte, a "fusion of all things creative" including fashion, photography, music, body art, and makeup. Tickets are $15 ($10 if you know one of the artists... so get to know one real quick on FB...) and the doors open at 8:30pm at Firestone Live.

Aww, what's better than a party for a 5 year old? ANYTHING.
Fine, but you'd be a fool to miss Snap! Orlando's 5 Year Birthday Party with art, music, sushi, cocktails care of The Courtesy Bar, Lineage Coffee, and of course birthday cake! $10, doors open at 7:00pm.

Remember when game night didn't end with you pairing the big black dildo card with one that mentions the Holocaust? Me neither. So, get your retro on at The History Center's Retro Game Night from 7:00pm to midnight. $5 and a cash bar, but games are free!

Boo, you whore. You old whore. Apparently Mean Girls turns 10 this year (what happened to my youth?!?!) and Audubon Park is celebrating with some Mean Girls Trivia from 7:00pm - 9:00pm at B3.

Or, if you're a cool kid who loves his/her Schwinn, head over to ride with Critical Mass tonight. Meet at 5:30pm to depart at 6:00pm.

Saturday, May 31st

Come out to the Fashion Square Mall for the Asian Cultural Festival from noon to 6:00pm. Arts and crafts, various Asian foods, and cultural entertainment. Need I say more? Didn't think so.

How many times have you and your girlfriends bickered and toiled over what to do on a Saturday night in Orlando? Well, grab dem dolla' dolla' bills (nope...we're definitely not cool enough to say that) and get ready to fight old ladies for a chance to grab a hand full of oddly-large pectorals at Rock Hard Revue at the Abbey. Hey, they were just on America's Got Talent, so they hafta be good right?...right?...guys? ~sigh~ $20, The Abbey, 8:00pm.

Be honest. Does this corset make me look fat?

Sunday, June 1st

Block party in the Milk District, y'all! Head over to Space Bar for live music, food trucks, t-shirt giveaways (we got you with the free t-shirts, didn't we?), and debauchery. 6:00pm to 2:00am.

Guys, Come Out with Pride is hosting a preview showing of Angelina Jolie in ghost-face... er, Maleficent. Get your tickets online quick before they sell out! $13 at the downtown theater (where they serve drinks, so you know we'll be there). Speaking of drinks, your ticket also gets you a free bev' at Ember for the after-party.

What are you up to this weekend? Leave a comment!
