Weekend Preview: July 25th - July 27th, 2014

Friday, July 25th

Another installment of the Sanford Art Walk is happening this Friday from 6:00 to 9:00pm featuring six galleries and of course Sanford's bars and restaurants. 

If you missed The LEGO Movie in theaters (like I did), here's your chance to see it for free: Movieola will show the movie at 8:30pm, with food and activities starting at 6:30pm. It's all happening on Lake Eola Park's East Lawn. 

Last Friday means it's time for Orlando Critical Mass's July Critical Blast! Grab your bike, lights, helmet, and friends, and meet up at Loch Haven Park around 5:00pm because the mass of bikes departs at 6:00pm sharp. 

Saturday, July 26th

Beat the summer heat (and rain) and attend an early farmers market this Saturday: Winter Park's Saturday Farmers' Market (7:00am to 1:00pm) has some great baked goods, flowers, and other local goodies; the Casselberry Farmers Market (9:00am to 1:30pm, now weekly) features products from local honey to home-made jams. 

Spend a day on the lake and help the fight against blood cancers? You can do both at the 2014 Lake Conway Wipeout, this Saturday from noon to 5:00pm.

Project Cosplay is artist Plinio Pinto's latest series of watercolor portraits, which will be exhibited at The Falcon. Come by for the opening party (cosplay encouraged!) this Saturday at 8:00pm for art, drinks, food from the Sushi  & Seoul food truck, and a saucy live performance by Katie James. 

Come out for a "celebration of a figure that spans many generations and platforms" at this year's Arnold Day X, hosted by Lazy Moon. There will be Arnold-centric activities, as well as food and drink specials. 

Cafe Tu Tu Tango Turns 20! And they're celebrating with live art, music, plenty of food and drink specials, and a community mural. Check them out this Saturday from 3:00 to 11:00pm. 

Sunday, July 27th

Aaaaand breeaaathhhhh...into a yoga workout at Yoga at Lake Eola Park, every Sunday at 11:00am and Lake Eola's north-east corner. Just around the corner, reward yourself with some yummy brunch at the Orlando Farmers Market (10:00am to 4:00pm).

[Insert "Who let the dogs out?" joke.] Bring your pup to Dogs Day Out at Orlando Brewing, every Sunday from 1:00 to 9:00pm.
