Get your last-minute shopping on at the Big Bang Bazaar, happening this Saturday (11am-6pm) and Sunday (11am-5pm) in Maitland. Admission to tons of indie craft vendors is $5, free under 12.
Friday, December 12th
♫♪ On the 12th day of Christmas, my true love gave to meee...♫♪ ...alcohol poisoning. Because I went to TWELVE bars at The 12 Bars of Christmas Pub Crawl. It starts at 7:30pm at Wall Street Plaza; tickets are $20 or equivalent value unwrapped gift.
If you prefer to mix your drinks with public transportation, check out the December Conductor Crawl, which meets at 6:00pm at Ceviche and heads south to Orlando Brewing on the 6:51 train. Train rides are $3.75; drink specials along the way.
Casselberry's Tree Lighting Ceremony is going on this Friday from 5:00 to 9:00pm, with artisan booths, The Food Truck Bazaar, live entertainment, a showing of Arthur Christmas (7:00pm), and Santa photo ops.
Saturday, December 13th
The downtown library is hosting a book signing and discussion of The Great Florida Craft Beer Guide this Saturday at 11:00am. (You may have seen the book in our Local Gift Ideas post earlier this week...)
The 10th Annual Winter Park Boat Parade and Festival of Lights and *takes breath* Ski Show is happening this Saturday starting at 3:30pm. The viewing takes place at the Polasek Museum, where you might also run into Santa.
Bikes, Beans & Bordeaux is putting on its 7th Annual Holiday Lights Ride. So what are you waiting for? Light up your bike, grab a helmet, and meet the gang at 6:30pm.
Up in Sanford, Second Saturdays is your chance to catch two stages worth of live music paired with food, drinks, and fun. The event starts at 7:00pm; tickets are $5.
At 7:00pm, the Milk District invites you to the open-air Sweater Fest 2014 with 17 live acts and lots of ugly sweaters; $5.
Sunday, December 14th
As if the Big Bang Bazaar wasn't enough, Grandma Party Bazaar is back at Stardust Video & Coffee! Check out the vendors, live music, and other activities this Sunday from 10:00am to 6:00pm.
Last month you drooled over the Performing Arts Center, this weekend come visit the newly renovated Citrus Bowl at the Citrus Bowl Community Open House. It's a free event with self-guided tours, snacks, and activities, but tickets are required; starts at noon.
