Orlando Weekend Preview: April 3rd - 5th, 2015

Friday, April 3rd

Vanity shoot! First Friday: April Flowers Edition by Macbeth Photography is this Friday from 3:00 to 9:00pm. Walk in, grab a beer or wine, and get some photos taken for $20.

First Fridays also means it's time for another edition of The Orlando Shuffle, a great way to immerse yourself in the world of vintage Florida. Just show up at 7:00pm, free, no experience necessary.

Didn't get tickets to the OCSC game this weekend? Worry not: head over to Wall Street Plaza for the Orlando City vs. DC United Watch Party & After Party, starting at 7:00pm with $3 Heineken from 5:30 to 10:30pm.

IndieNomicon turns two! Celebrate at the 2nd Annual Indiversary Party happening at Canvs this Friday at 7:00pm. Presentations, music, games, cake, oh my!

It's time for a classic at this month's Leu Gardens Date Night: Splendor in the Grass from 1961. The gardens open at 6:00pm; movie starts at 8:30pm. Bring a blanket, chairs, wine, and snacks; tickets are $6/free for members.

Also, this month's Movie in the Park in Casselberry is The LEGO Movie.

Saturday, April 4th

Early-rising do-gooders, listen up: Body//Talk is partnering with IDEAS to host The Beach//Party, a beach party/eco-adventure/beach cleanup/fun in the sun. Meet at the UCF Visitor Center at 9:00am.

Friday from 5:00 to 9:00pm and Saturday from noon to 5:00pm, stop by the FAVO 1st Friday/Saturday with artists, food trucks, and activities.

Flowers, baked goods, vegetables, crafts, and--my favorite--gator jerky. It's all at the Winter Park Farmers' Market, this Saturday from 7:00am to 1:00pm. While you're there, check out the Morse Museum Open House, free from 9:30am to 4:00pm! (The Morse is also free this Friday and Sunday.)

Sunday, April 5th

If all the cuteness of Easter and the sweetness of too much candy is getting to you, you might be a candidate for this Sunday's Uncomfortable Brunch at Will's Pub. For $10, you get brunch, specials on mimosas and Bloody Marys, and a screening of Salo, or the 120 Days of Sodom.

Wind down your weekend with Open Mic at The Falcon, starting at 3:00pm.

What did we miss? What are you up to this weekend? Post an event in the comments!
